Driade Lou includes sculpted dining and lounge chairs with continuous upholstered forms.
Philippe Starck’s Lou Eat chair and armchair use fixed leather over polyurethane bodies, while Lou Speak adds a swivel base and fabric or leather upholstery. Lou Read, designed jointly by Philippe Starck and Eugeni Quitllet, has a high back, a polyurethane structure and hand-stitched leather covering. These differences distinguish dining, reading and swiveling lounge models within the related seating range.
Philippe Starck's collaboration with Emeco began after he used the manufacturer's Navy chairs in the Paramount Hotel. The partnership produced collections including Hudson, Heritage, Kong, Icon and Broom. These projects are part of his broader furniture design work and explore industrial materials and production methods.
