Metro Detroit’s destination for top Italian and European furniture houses.
Serving homeowners and design professionals since 1985 — from two showrooms, with direct, authorized relationships with every house on our floor.
The Story
Four decades,
one idea.
Italcasa opened its doors in 1985 as a family business with a simple idea: bring the finest Italian and European furniture to Metro Detroit, know every piece on the floor personally, and treat each client’s home as a project worth doing properly. Four decades on, the idea hasn’t changed.
What began as a single showroom has grown into two — our flagship in Royal Oak and our space in the Michigan Design Center in Troy — and into direct, authorized relationships with Europe’s top houses. The scale changed; the constants didn’t. Every house is still chosen by hand. Every quote is still prepared for one client at a time. And the homeowners and designers who found us decades ago still come back, room after room, home after home.
Family-founded in Metro Detroit.

How We Choose Our Houses
Every house on our floor earned its place.
We hold direct, authorized-dealer relationships with each house we represent — no gray-market sourcing, no middlemen. A brand joins the floor for three reasons: craftsmanship, materials, and design pedigree.
Most are Italian — houses like Natuzzi Italia, Moroso, Cattelan Italia, and Flos — joined by a few chosen makers from further afield, such as Moooi, Vondom, and Emeco, so a whole home can be specified from one floor.
Craftsmanship
Workshops with generations of technique — joinery, upholstery, and finishing that survive close inspection on our floor.
Materials
Full-grain leathers, solid timber, natural stone — materials chosen at the source, not substituted in production.
Design pedigree
Houses with a real design legacy: original work, named designers, and pieces that hold their relevance for decades.
How We Work
Made to order, tailored to you.
Most pieces are made for you after you order — which is why there’s no cart. You tell us what you want, and we price exactly that.
Configured for you
Size, finish, leather, and fabric — chosen with us, then made by the house to fit the room it's going into.
Tailored quotes
Request Quote on any piece and we price your exact configuration — with preferred pricing for registered customers and trade professionals.
Design support
Our designers help with plans, finishes, and specification — whether it's one sofa or a whole home.
White-glove delivery
Import, customs, warehousing, delivery, assembly, and styling — handled by us, end to end, across the 48 contiguous states and Washington, DC.
The full process, step by step, lives on How It Works.
