Driade was founded in 1968 by Enrico Astori, Antonia Astori and Adelaide Acerbi as a place for original design ideas. Its furniture treats an individual piece as something with its own author and personality, bringing together different approaches to shape, material and everyday function. The collection offers a distinctive way to make an interior feel personal.
At Italcasa Design, explore Driade seating and furnishings with attention to the role each piece will play in your room. Our team can help compare dimensions, finishes and indoor or outdoor suitability for the chosen design. Visit us in Royal Oak or Troy, or contact us about a Driade selection for delivery across the contiguous United States.

Sculpture with a place to sit
Brand spotlight
Roly Poly — a rounded seat, a sculptural presence.
Faye Toogood's Roly Poly gives the armchair a bowl-like seat and substantial cylindrical legs. Driade produces the design in rotationally molded polyethylene, with versions and cushions that should be specified for the intended setting. Its clear silhouette can hold a corner on its own or bring a playful contrast to a more linear furniture arrangement.

Driade's experimental beginnings
Founded in 1968, Driade brought together Enrico Astori, Antonia Astori and Adelaide Acerbi around an original approach to furniture and communication. The brand's identity comes from allowing individual designs to have distinct personalities. For a home, this offers the opportunity to select a piece as you might choose an artwork: for its idea, form and relationship to the surrounding space.
Material follows the design
Driade's catalogue embraces different materials according to the needs of each object. The Roly Poly seating family uses rotationally molded polyethylene, while other pieces have their own constructions and finishes. Material appearance alone does not establish outdoor suitability or care requirements. Review the exact product specification, including any cushions, before choosing a design for a terrace or a frequently used interior.
Roly Poly and sculptural seating
The Roly Poly armchair brings a broad, curved seat and rounded legs into a memorable silhouette. Its footprint and low seating character should be considered alongside its appearance. Mark the dimensions within your room and think about how the chair will be approached and used. Italcasa can help compare the current versions and coordinate suitable cushions where offered.
Faye Toogood's expressive forms
Faye Toogood approaches Roly Poly through a strongly sculptural language. The chair's character is immediately visible, yet its effect changes with color and context. Allowing space around the form can be more effective than surrounding it with competing objects. Our team can help place an expressive Driade design within a balanced interior, whether it is the focal point or one considered accent.
