Tableware.
Driade 100 Piazze is Fabio Novembre’s collection of stainless steel trays and centerpieces inspired by Italian public squares.
Raised miniature façades, arcades and openings surround reflective centers, translating architecture into tabletop objects. The designs interpret landmarks in Florence, Milan, Palmanova, Rome, Turin and Vigevano. Different outlines and building arrangements distinguish the individual pieces while keeping the relationship between an open square and its architectural border visible.
Fabio Novembre studied architecture at the Politecnico di Milano and opened his own studio in 1994. His work spans interior architecture, planning, industrial design and graphics. He has also taught, lectured and served on design juries, bringing experience from several design scales to furniture and spatial projects.
