Moroso M’Afrique includes handwoven seating, tables and baskets by several designers, using polyethylene cord around painted-steel frames.
Banjooli and Shadowy designs are woven by artisans in Dakar, Senegal, with looping arms or curled high backs shaping the patterned surfaces. Arco adds a suspended cocoon, while Imba extends the weave into a chaise lounge. Baobab pairs its woven base with a separate fabric-covered cushion, and Jardin Suspendu groups four raised baskets with different heights and proportions.
Martino Gamper began as a furniture-making apprentice in Merano, studied sculpture in Vienna and completed the Royal College of Art's Design Products course in 2000. Based in London, he works across furniture, interiors and exhibitions. His projects include the experimental 100 Chairs in 100 Days series.
