Moroso Misfits is a modular seating family by Ron Arad with six sculpted elements forming irregular, flowing compositions.
Curved backs, stepped surfaces and backless pieces create different outlines across the arrangement. Wool upholstery follows polyurethane padding around internal steel frames, with fixed covers above polypropylene feet. The separate ottoman has an undulating top and a sculpted side opening, carrying the same shaped construction into a freestanding footrest.
Ron Arad studied in Jerusalem and at London's Architectural Association. He co-founded One Off with Caroline Thorman in 1981 and established Ron Arad Associates in 1989. His practice combines architecture, industrial products and studio furniture, with experimentation in materials including steel, aluminum and polyamide.
