Moroso Shanghai Tip includes sofas, modular seating, ottomans and a small table by Patricia Urquiola with slender steel supports.
Backed seating uses articulated sections that raise or lower above feather-filled seat cushions with polyurethane inserts. Removable covers continue across the padded pieces, including square and rectangular footstools. The round steel table has crossing supports inspired by pick-up sticks, bringing the fine supporting lines into a separate companion surface.
Patricia Urquiola studied architecture in Madrid and Milan, graduating under Achille Castiglioni. She worked with Vico Magistretti and Lissoni before opening her Milan studio in 2001. Her practice encompasses industrial design, architecture, interiors and art direction, including collaborations with Moroso, Flos, Driade and Cappellini.
