Cappellini Lud'o is Patricia Urquiola's family of upholstered seating and companion tables.
Lounge chairs, Lud'ina chairs and ottomans use replaceable padded coverings, with fixed or swivel supports depending on the base. Sofas and modular seats use steel frames, elastic suspension and removable fabric covers above wooden feet. Tables echo the conical supports or integrate into sofa arrangements, with selected formats prepared for power and cable systems. Happy Lud'o introduces patterned satin in a numbered armchair-and-ottoman capsule.
Patricia Urquiola studied architecture in Madrid and Milan, graduating under Achille Castiglioni. She worked with Vico Magistretti and Lissoni before opening her Milan studio in 2001. Her practice encompasses industrial design, architecture, interiors and art direction, including collaborations with Moroso, Flos, Driade and Cappellini.
