Cappellini Lotus is a chair family by Jasper Morrison with padded beech-plywood shells on aluminum swivel bases.
The Attesa armchair uses a four-spoke base with tilt, while the low-, medium- and high-back chairs use five-spoke supports. Arms, casters, tilt and seat-height adjustment vary by model. Multi-density foam and elastic belts sit beneath fixed fabric or leather upholstery, preserving the same shaped seat construction across lounge and work-oriented versions.
Jasper Morrison is a designer whose furniture work includes Emeco's Alfi, 1 Inch, Navy Lounge and Navy Officer collections. His collaboration with the manufacturer brings together material choices, engineering and detailed development. He also co-curated the Super Normal exhibition presented in Tokyo in 2006.
