Cappellini Thinking Man's Chair is Jasper Morrison's open metal lounge-chair design, distinguished by small drink trays integrated into the armrests.
Tubular supports and flat bars trace the seat and back without upholstered cushions. The Lido version uses AISI 304 stainless steel with a textured powder coating for covered outdoor settings. Both preserve the low sitting position and long side profile, keeping the armrest surfaces within the chair's supporting metal framework.
Jasper Morrison is a designer whose furniture work includes Emeco's Alfi, 1 Inch, Navy Lounge and Navy Officer collections. His collaboration with the manufacturer brings together material choices, engineering and detailed development. He also co-curated the Super Normal exhibition presented in Tokyo in 2006.
