Emeco 1 Inch brings together chairs, stools and tables designed by Jasper Morrison around simple, square-section framing.
Recycled aluminum seating pairs with plastic, plywood or upholstered surfaces, while All Aluminum models use perforated metal seats and backs. The Reclaimed chair takes a different approach, molding recycled plastic and wood fiber into a continuous form. Tables come in dining and bar heights with wood or aluminum tops. Outdoor suitability depends on the material combination, and compatible replacement glides are specific to each construction.
Jasper Morrison is a designer whose furniture work includes Emeco's Alfi, 1 Inch, Navy Lounge and Navy Officer collections. His collaboration with the manufacturer brings together material choices, engineering and detailed development. He also co-curated the Super Normal exhibition presented in Tokyo in 2006.
