Cappellini Gong is a side-table family by Giulio Cappellini made from two circular metal discs and a narrow stem.
A smaller, taller model and a broader, lower version give the same construction two proportions. The original can be disassembled; Gong Lux adds polished surface treatments, including gold plating on a selected model. Gong Lido uses powder-coated stainless steel for covered outdoor settings. Each retains the continuous outline between top, stem and base.
Giulio Cappellini is a Milanese architect, designer and art director. After studying architecture, he worked in his family's furniture company and collaborated with other design businesses. His practice combines product design with artistic direction, alongside teaching and lectures about furniture and contemporary design.
