Moroso Spring Collection brings together sculptural armchairs and a sofa by Ron Arad, with forms ranging from rolled arms to heart-shaped backs and tapered bodies.
Most upholstered chairs mold polyurethane around steel frames, while Soft Big Heavy uses a padded wooden structure. Fixed fabric covers follow the exaggerated curves. Double Soft Big Easy extends the rounded outline into two-seat upholstery, and The Big Easy uses rotationally molded polyethylene for an outdoor version.
Ron Arad studied in Jerusalem and at London's Architectural Association. He co-founded One Off with Caroline Thorman in 1981 and established Ron Arad Associates in 1989. His practice combines architecture, industrial products and studio furniture, with experimentation in materials including steel, aluminum and polyamide.
