Moroso Pipe includes a settee, armchair, chaise lounges and tables by Sebastian Herkner built around oversized tubular forms.
Cylindrical padded backs sit above rounded seats, connected by exposed steel supports that continue into sled bases. Left- and right-facing chaises extend the lounging surface. Fixed upholstery covers the seating, while steel tables translate the tube into an angled central column between circular tops and bases in two proportions.
Sebastian Herkner studied product design at the Offenbach University of Art and Design. His studio develops furniture, objects and interiors. The practice combines newer production technologies with traditional craft techniques, using these processes to explore materials, surface details and references from different cultural contexts.
