Moroso Gruuve includes modular seating and a freestanding chaise lounge by Patricia Urquiola with rounded forms extending toward the floor.
Sofa modules provide front seats and higher bench-like surfaces at the rear, with polyurethane padding over Polimex composite bases and removable covers. Gruuvelot adds separate sculpted elements made from milled polyurethane over birch plywood. These fixed-cover additions fit specified sofa arrangements, introducing curved projections and new places to sit or lean.
Patricia Urquiola studied architecture in Madrid and Milan, graduating under Achille Castiglioni. She worked with Vico Magistretti and Lissoni before opening her Milan studio in 2001. Her practice encompasses industrial design, architecture, interiors and art direction, including collaborations with Moroso, Flos, Driade and Cappellini.
