Driade Pavo includes Patricia Urquiola’s Pavo and taller Pavo Real armchairs.
Layered cane weaving wraps painted-steel structures, forming open diagonal patterns around the backs and bases. Padded leather seat cushions provide defined sitting surfaces within the woven bodies. The lower Pavo has a broad lounge profile, while Pavo Real rises to 130 cm with an enclosing back, expanding the same material construction into a more upright, throne-like silhouette.
Patricia Urquiola studied architecture in Madrid and Milan, graduating under Achille Castiglioni. She worked with Vico Magistretti and Lissoni before opening her Milan studio in 2001. Her practice encompasses industrial design, architecture, interiors and art direction, including collaborations with Moroso, Flos, Driade and Cappellini.
