Moroso Spring is a modular sofa and ottoman family by Patricia Urquiola with broad seats and softly rounded arms.
Wood-framed central, corner and chaise elements carry polyurethane and polyester padding above low polypropylene feet. Removable covers follow the upholstered components and the square footstool. A separate sofa-bed configuration adds a wood-and-steel supporting structure and polyurethane mattress, introducing a sleeping function within the same block-like seating language.
Patricia Urquiola studied architecture in Madrid and Milan, graduating under Achille Castiglioni. She worked with Vico Magistretti and Lissoni before opening her Milan studio in 2001. Her practice encompasses industrial design, architecture, interiors and art direction, including collaborations with Moroso, Flos, Driade and Cappellini.
