Moroso Rift includes upholstered sofas and armchairs plus molded chairs and stools by Patricia Urquiola with offset, layered forms.
Padded sofas use wooden structures in predefined Y- or L-shaped layouts, while armchairs use steel-framed molded bodies. The dining chair changes to a rigid polyurethane shell on a cantilever base and stacks four high. Polypropylene stools offer counter or bar heights with footrests and separately selected seat pads.
Patricia Urquiola studied architecture in Madrid and Milan, graduating under Achille Castiglioni. She worked with Vico Magistretti and Lissoni before opening her Milan studio in 2001. Her practice encompasses industrial design, architecture, interiors and art direction, including collaborations with Moroso, Flos, Driade and Cappellini.
