Moroso Mathilda includes dining and lounge chairs, stools and tables by Patricia Urquiola with trestle-like wooden supports.
Seating uses ash or oak frames, padded plywood components and wrapped bands at the arm connections. Dining chairs stack up to three; stools provide separate counter and bar heights. Tables pair solid-oak bases with ash- or oak-veneered MDF tops in round and rectangular formats, with interchangeable glide pads beneath the wooden feet.
Patricia Urquiola studied architecture in Madrid and Milan, graduating under Achille Castiglioni. She worked with Vico Magistretti and Lissoni before opening her Milan studio in 2001. Her practice encompasses industrial design, architecture, interiors and art direction, including collaborations with Moroso, Flos, Driade and Cappellini.
