Moroso Mafalda includes a dining chair and broader lounge armchair by Patricia Urquiola with curved padded shells on oak bases.
Polyurethane forms the seat and back around an internal steel frame, leaving the wooden legs exposed below. Fixed fabric or leather covers are offered with horizontal stitched bands or a plain surface. The lounge version expands the padded back and arms around a lower seat while preserving the related construction.
Patricia Urquiola studied architecture in Madrid and Milan, graduating under Achille Castiglioni. She worked with Vico Magistretti and Lissoni before opening her Milan studio in 2001. Her practice encompasses industrial design, architecture, interiors and art direction, including collaborations with Moroso, Flos, Driade and Cappellini.
