Moroso M.a.s.s.a.s.
includes sofas, modular seats, an armchair and an ottoman by Patricia Urquiola with softly outlined upholstered volumes. Fabric bonded with polyester fiber and polyurethane helps define the contours while remaining removable. Wooden sofa seats connect with steel-framed backs and arms; the armchair uses an internal steel structure. Corner, end and chaise elements shape larger arrangements, with side pockets included only on specified sofa and end versions.
Patricia Urquiola studied architecture in Madrid and Milan, graduating under Achille Castiglioni. She worked with Vico Magistretti and Lissoni before opening her Milan studio in 2001. Her practice encompasses industrial design, architecture, interiors and art direction, including collaborations with Moroso, Flos, Driade and Cappellini.
