Moroso Husk includes two armchair constructions by Marc Thorpe with curved enclosing backs.
The indoor version uses fixed upholstery over polyurethane padding and an internal steel-and-wood structure. The M'Afrique chair is handwoven in Dakar with polyethylene cord around a painted-steel frame, drawing its form from a corn husk. Its open woven surfaces and adjustable leveling glides distinguish it from the continuous padded body of the indoor chair.
Marc Thorpe founded his New York design practice in 2005. Trained as an architect, he works across architecture, interiors, furniture, products and visual communication. The studio combines design and technology with brand development, collaborating with manufacturers and clients including Moroso and other international companies.

We show Moroso by appointment at both showrooms — Royal Oak on Woodward and Troy at the Michigan Design Center. Call ahead and we'll have samples and finishes pulled and waiting.
