Side tables and floor lamps.
Moooi Animal Family includes Front’s Horse Lamp and Pig Table, each combining an animal sculpture with a household function.
The life-size polyester horse supports a conventional lamp shade above its head, with a replaceable bulb for indoor lighting. The polyester-and-ABS pig instead carries a round tray-like table on its back. Both retain recognizable full animal forms, bringing a freestanding light and occasional surface into the room through related figurative designs.
Front is the Swedish design studio of Sofia Lagerkvist and Anna Lindgren. They develop projects together through discussion, research and experimentation. Their objects often examine materials and the design process itself, with work involving methods such as computer-assisted making, robotics and unconventional approaches to shaping furniture.
