Dining chairs, bar stools, rugs and more.
Moooi Monster includes Marcel Wanders’ upholstered chairs and stools alongside a patterned carpet and basketball.
Steel-framed seating uses foam and smooth or diamond-quilted covers, with an embroidered face on the specified black synthetic-leather chair. The round carpet gathers the collection’s expressive features into a floor illustration. A size 7 rubber basketball, created with Spalding, carries related eye motifs and includes a display holder, connecting seating, decoration and a playable object through the same graphic theme.
Marcel Wanders is a designer from Boxtel in the Netherlands. His Knotted Chair for Droog Design brought international attention to his work in 1996. He has collaborated with furniture manufacturers across Europe, developing objects that draw on historical references, cultural differences and decorative traditions.
