Vondom Suave includes modular sofas, a lounge chair, round ottomans, cushions, tables and planters by Marcel Wanders.
Flexible polyurethane foam shapes the upholstered seating, with curved corners and chaise elements extending the possible layouts. Outdoor fabrics, including boucle, carry across selected cushions and seats. Tables combine aluminum frames with HPL tops, while polyethylene planters reinterpret an urn shape through a flared bowl and pedestal base.
Marcel Wanders is a designer from Boxtel in the Netherlands. His Knotted Chair for Droog Design brought international attention to his work in 1996. He has collaborated with furniture manufacturers across Europe, developing objects that draw on historical references, cultural differences and decorative traditions.
