Rugs and vases.
Moooi Delft Blue includes Marcel Wanders’ Royal Delft porcelain objects and a round carpet derived from decorated ceramic plates.
The vases range from upright vessels to multi-opening and figurative forms, with painted decoration following their sculptural surfaces. Black Edition treatments reinterpret selected pieces through dark reflective surfaces and accents. The Delft Blue Plate carpet enlarges a ceramic motif into a polyamide floor covering, translating the collection’s decorative language into a different material and scale.
Marcel Wanders is a designer from Boxtel in the Netherlands. His Knotted Chair for Droog Design brought international attention to his work in 1996. He has collaborated with furniture manufacturers across Europe, developing objects that draw on historical references, cultural differences and decorative traditions.
