Moroso Sunny includes a woven outdoor chair and ottoman by Tord Boontje within the M'Afrique range.
Artisans in Dakar, Senegal, work polyethylene cord around painted-steel frames to create patterned surfaces. The armless chair has an upright back with curled top and seat edges. The low ottoman carries related scrolling ends around a backless woven surface, with slender supports and floor glides beneath both pieces.
Tord Boontje studied at the Design Academy Eindhoven and the Royal College of Art before establishing his studio in 1996. His practice includes lighting, furniture, textiles, ceramics, graphics and installations. He works across these formats to explore the relationship between objects and their surroundings.
