Moroso Bikini Island is a modular seating and furnishing system by Werner Aisslinger with seats, benches, tables and storage components.
Upholstered elements use polyurethane and polyester padding over wooden frames, with loose back cushions offered separately. Steel tables and oak cabinets or bookshelves can join arrangements that open in several directions. Seating covers detach, while specified benches use zip-removable seat covers; a round ottoman adds a separate backless element.
Werner Aisslinger works across industrial design and architecture, with an experimental approach to materials and production techniques. Based in Berlin, he develops products with manufacturers and pursues artistic research. His work is represented in museum collections including the Museum of Modern Art and Vitra Design Museum.
