Cappellini Juli is an armchair family by Werner Aisslinger built around a molded shell with integrated arms.
Juli Plastic exposes reinforced polypropylene; Soft and Soft Plus add fixed fabric upholstery, with extra inner and outer padding on Plus. Metal, wooden, sled and pedestal bases provide different functions, including selected swivel, height-adjustable and caster versions. Re-Plastic uses post-consumer polypropylene on stainless-steel legs for covered outdoor areas, with optional seat perforations for drainage.
Werner Aisslinger works across industrial design and architecture, with an experimental approach to materials and production techniques. Based in Berlin, he develops products with manufacturers and pursues artistic research. His work is represented in museum collections including the Museum of Modern Art and Vitra Design Museum.
