Moooi Nut includes Marcel Wanders’ dining chair, lounge chair and matching footstool.
Oak-veneered bent-plywood shells sit on solid-oak legs, with foam-padded upholstery following the curved seat and back forms. The dining chair keeps a compact armless profile, while the lounge chair broadens and lowers the seat. A separate footstool repeats the rounded wooden base and padded upper surface, connecting the pieces through visible oak structures and selected upholstery.
Marcel Wanders is a designer from Boxtel in the Netherlands. His Knotted Chair for Droog Design brought international attention to his work in 1996. He has collaborated with furniture manufacturers across Europe, developing objects that draw on historical references, cultural differences and decorative traditions.
