Emeco Kong includes chairs and counter or bar stools developed by Philippe Starck for the Kong restaurant in Paris.
Each furniture model uses handcrafted recycled aluminum, with armrests available on both chairs and stools. Brushed and polished versions keep the metal construction visible, and the hand-brushed models are suitable for outdoor use. Separate fitted seat pads add upholstery to compatible chairs or stools, preserving the collection’s exposed aluminum frames.
Philippe Starck's collaboration with Emeco began after he used the manufacturer's Navy chairs in the Paramount Hotel. The partnership produced collections including Hudson, Heritage, Kong, Icon and Broom. These projects are part of his broader furniture design work and explore industrial materials and production methods.
