Moroso Vol includes dining tables and stools by Stefan Scholten with geometric forms and contrasting surface materials.
Ecotone recycled-glass composite tops sit above conical table bases, using one support for round tables and two for oval formats. Base treatments include linoleum or Alpi veneer. Stools instead pair linoleum-covered poplar-plywood seats with ash frames; a low version and counter-height version share the shape, with a steel footrest ring on the taller stool.
Stefan Scholten graduated from the Design Academy Eindhoven in 1995. His Amsterdam practice develops products for manufacturers including HAY, Moroso, Maharam and Cappellini. Drawing, model-making and experiments with color are part of a studio process that connects hands-on research with functional objects.
