Moroso Tia Maria includes chairs, lounge seats, a bar stool and circular tables by Enrico Franzolini with fine tubular-steel supports.
Polyurethane-padded shells surround internal steel frames beneath fixed upholstery. Small, lounge and spider-base armchairs change the seating proportions, while the tall stool adds a footrest. Companion tables pair MDF tops with cross-braced steel frames in six diameter-and-height combinations, repeating the open supporting lines beneath different round surfaces.
Enrico Franzolini trained in architecture in Venice and works across art, architecture, interiors and products. His artistic work was shown at the Venice Biennale in 1972. Furniture, including seating, forms part of a practice that moves between spatial design and individual objects.
