Moroso Tape includes modular seating and steel tables by Benjamin Hubert of LAYER.
Upholstered blocks divide into textile panels with seams reinforced by heat-sealed tape, drawing on sportswear construction. Padded wooden seats, backs and arms join with steel connectors beneath fixed covers. Selected arms provide a storage pocket or USB and Qi wireless charging. Perforated steel tables offer square side-table and lower rectangular coffee-table formats beside the seating.
Benjamin Hubert studied Industrial Design and Technology at Loughborough University, graduating in 2006. His industrial design practice works on furniture, lighting, consumer products and installations. The studio develops projects for both serial production and limited editions, considering materials and manufacturing as part of the design process.
