Moroso Ottoman includes asymmetric settees, an armchair and a footstool by Scholten & Baijings with rounded upholstered shells above crossed steel supports.
Left- and right-facing settees position the back and arm at opposite ends of the same compact seating form. Polyurethane, polyester fiber and memory-foam chips provide layered cushioning within the padded steel structures. Fixed covers follow the separate cushions and lower shells across the family.
Stefan Scholten and Carole Baijings established their joint studio in 2000. Their collaborative work encompassed ceramics, silver, textiles, furniture and experimental projects, including a concept car. Research into color, materials and craft linked these different projects and their work with manufacturers.
