Moroso Clay includes an armchair and occasional tables by Zanellato/Bortotto featuring handmade glazed ceramics from Nove, near Vicenza.
The chair sets a ceramic panel behind its upholstered back above a wood-veneered base. Table formats arrange one, two, three or four ceramic tiles within solid-wood perimeter frames. Oak or Canaletto walnut veneers connect the supporting structures, while individual glazed surfaces retain variations from the handwork and kiln firing.
Giorgia Zanellato and Daniele Bortotto founded their Treviso studio in 2013 after studying in Venice and Lausanne. Their debut Acqua Alta collection explored Venice through objects. Subsequent work includes products, limited editions, interiors and art direction, often investigating places and traditional craft techniques.
