Moooi Aldora includes Cristina Celestino’s sofa, chaise lounge and opposing-seat Vis a Vis.
Flared backrests draw on calla lilies, rising from rounded upholstered seats. Wood and steel frames support foam over steel springs, with fabric or leather coverings. The sofa places two seats side by side, while the chaise extends one sitting position and Vis a Vis faces its occupants in opposite directions; handed versions adapt the asymmetric forms to different layouts.
Cristina Celestino graduated in architecture from IUAV in Venice in 2005 and established her Milan studio in 2013. Her work spans residential, hospitality and commercial interiors, product design and creative direction. Material research, geometry and references to design history inform her approach across these disciplines.
