Sofas and armchairs.
Driade Vigilius includes a lounge armchair and compact sofa designed by Matteo Thun and Antonio Rodriguez.
Rounded backs and broad arms frame defined seat cushions, supported by webbed wooden structures. Polyurethane foam and wadding provide the padding beneath fixed fabric or leather upholstery. Black-lacquered beech feet finish both designs, while the 123 cm sofa extends the armchair’s upright enclosed profile into a small two-cushion indoor seating arrangement.
Matteo Thun and Antonio Rodriguez collaborate across architecture, interiors and product design. Thun cofounded Sottsass Associati and Memphis before establishing Matteo Thun & Partners in 2001. Rodriguez joined as a partner in 2003, contributing to a practice that connects buildings, interior spaces and manufactured objects.
