Driade Portable Atelier includes a compact desk and adjustable stool by Philippe Nigro.
The desk places its work surface on a painted-steel frame, with a lifting top section concealing storage and openings for cables. Optional panels and a sliding paper element can make the workspace more enclosed. A round beech seat and three splayed solid-beech legs form the companion stool, whose height adjusts to suit the working position.
Philippe Nigro is a French designer working between France and Italy. His practice combines experimental research with close attention to manufacturers' technical knowledge and production capabilities. He works across different product types and scales; his projects for Driade include the Portable Atelier desk and stool.
