Driade PiùdiUno is Omar Hassan’s wool tapestry collection inspired by his Injections artworks.
Hand-tufted surfaces use eleven colors, with densely worked upper sections continuing into long hanging fringes. The three formats vary from wide horizontal compositions to a smaller rounded form, bringing the same layered textile construction to different wall areas. Changes in width and outline distinguish the individual pieces while the loose fringe remains part of each composition.
Omar Hassan is an artist who studied painting at Milan's Brera Academy of Fine Arts with Alberto Garutti. His practice begins with an idea or concept and develops it through physical artistic gestures. This approach underlies a body of work exploring painting, action and individual expression.
