Driade 33 Cuscini includes a sofa and matching ottoman built around clusters of rounded padded forms.
Paolo Rizzatto’s sofa uses thirty-three cushion-like sections to shape its seat, back and ends. A steel frame and curved steel feet support polyurethane foam padding beneath removable fabric upholstery. The ottoman extends the same segmented construction into a lower companion piece, carrying the sofa’s repeated rounded forms through a seating arrangement.
Paolo Rizzatto is an architect and lighting designer. His approach considers light as part of architecture and investigates how it changes the perception of a space. Research into context, materials and technical details informs projects developed at the scale of objects and their surroundings.
