Dining tables.
Calligaris Yoroi includes fixed and extending dining tables with central metal pedestals inspired by samurai armor.
Vertical grooves and wooden inserts divide the supports into layered surfaces beneath simpler tabletops. Fixed versions offer oval and softly outlined elongated forms. Extending models use staged side leaves in rectangular or rounded formats, increasing the dining length while the pedestal remains central and the outer seating edge stays free of corner legs.
Manuela Busetti, Andrea Garuti and Matteo Redaelli have worked together since 2008. Their practice develops products for residential and contract settings. The team studies changing patterns of use and explores both established and newer materials and technologies as part of its furniture design process.
