All designersChoosing Cattelan Italia dining chairs, one design, many bases.
Read the name for the base
Many Cattelan Italia chairs come as a family, and the name tells you the base. "Wood" versions stand on a wooden frame, usually ash, and "ML" versions on steel legs. "Cantilever" versions sit on a single bent frame, with no back legs. "Turn" versions swivel on a four-spoke aluminum base, and "Wheels" versions swivel on casters. Rachel and Scarlett come in all five, and Rhonda in four.
Coverings
Almost every chair here comes in leather, and most also in fabric. Cattelan Italia's coverings include soft leather, micro nubuck, synthetic leather and fabric. The house says its leathers are selected cow hides, tanned and dyed without substances harmful to health. Its synthetic leathers contain no animal material and wipe clean with a damp cloth. Stitching is part of the look: Beverly, Lara and Nancy outline their panels, and Italia Couture and Kay Couture add quilting.
Sizes, arms and backs
Check the size code on the product page. Anna is 46 × 55 × 87 cm (18 × 22 × 34 in), and its high-back version rises to 105 cm (41 in). A wider 54 cm (21 in) version is also listed. Scarlett pairs a tall, rounded back with each of its bases. Agatha Flex and Maya Flex have backs that flex as you lean. Tyler swivels and returns to its starting position, on crossed ash legs.
Care
Covers are usually fixed. On Anna, fabric covers come off, while soft leather, micro nubuck and synthetic leather stay fixed. For soft leather, Cattelan Italia says to dust with a soft, dry cloth. Treat stains at once with soapy water or a mild detergent. Rinse and dry with a soft cloth. Avoid alcohol, acetone and abrasives, and keep straps, studs and buttons from scratching the seat. For the steel frames, use a slightly damp soft cloth and no solvents.
Ordering
Cattelan Italia chairs are made to order, typically 12–16 weeks. When you request a quote, name the model and its base version, the covering and color, and the frame finish. Tell us the table you will use, and we will check seat and arm heights against it. We deliver to the 48 contiguous states.
