Cattelan Italia Maya comprises the Flex and Flex ML upholstered chairs, both with backrests that bend as the seated position changes.
Steel structures support the padded seats and flexible backs. Flex continues the covering over the legs, while ML leaves its metal supports exposed. Fabric, micro nubuck, leather or faux leather provides different covering options within that shared construction, making the visible or covered base the main distinction between the two versions.
Paolo Cattelan joined the furniture company founded by his parents, Giorgio and Silvia Cattelan, and took its leadership in 2014. His product work includes the Smart design from 1998. His career connects furniture development with the growth of the family's manufacturing business.
