Cattelan Italia Italia includes dining chairs whose upholstery covers the steel frame from the legs through the seat and back.
The original has a smooth outer back, while Italia Couture introduces diamond quilting. Both offer arm and armless formats with fixed fabric, micro nubuck, leather or faux-leather coverings. The continuously covered structure remains consistent across the family, allowing the backrest stitching and arm configuration to distinguish the selected chair.
Paolo Cattelan joined the furniture company founded by his parents, Giorgio and Silvia Cattelan, and took its leadership in 2014. His product work includes the Smart design from 1998. His career connects furniture development with the growth of the family's manufacturing business.
