Moooi Rendezvous Tokyo Blue includes a rectangular carpet and textile wallcovering depicting a forest of flowers and imaginary Indigo Macaques.
Kimono-clad figures and denim-like textures draw on Japanese visual references within the printed scene. The carpet uses polyamide pile over polypropylene backing, while the wallcovering has a velvety textile face and nonwoven support. Different tonal treatments carry the same detailed composition across a defined rug or a continuous interior wall.
Moooi's internal product development team contributes designs alongside the company's external designers. The team researches materials and product ideas and develops objects for the Moooi collection.
