Moooi Hortensia connects a rounded lounge armchair with floral carpets inspired by digital artwork.
Andrés Reisinger and Júlia Esqué designed the chair, using a metal frame and molded foam beneath petal-covered or other fabric and leather versions. The Pollination of Hortensia carpet is credited to Reisinger and translates his Pollen artwork into seasonal floral imagery. Round and rectangular polyamide carpets carry the seasonal imagery onto a printed floor surface.
Andrés Reisinger is an Argentine artist and designer whose work moves between digital images and physical objects. Based in Barcelona, his studio develops projects across these formats. Hortensia began as a digital rendering before being developed into a physical chair, illustrating this connection within his practice.
