Flos Almendra includes Patricia Urquiola’s Linear and Organic LED suspensions, inspired by the branching forms of an almond tree.
Curved light modules connect to aluminum tubular structures and rotate in 60-degree steps to change the direction of illumination. Linear versions arrange three or four lights along a horizontal structure, while Organic versions branch into two- or three-light compositions. Warm 2700K output and dimming accompany the different indoor arrangements.
Patricia Urquiola studied architecture in Madrid and Milan, graduating under Achille Castiglioni. She worked with Vico Magistretti and Lissoni before opening her Milan studio in 2001. Her practice encompasses industrial design, architecture, interiors and art direction, including collaborations with Moroso, Flos, Driade and Cappellini.
