Flos Taraxacum connects the Castiglioni brothers’ translucent Cocoon pendant with Achille Castiglioni’s later Taraxacum 88 designs.
The original stretches resin over a shaped steel frame, diffusing light through a membrane. The 88 suspension instead arranges sixty exposed globe bulbs around polished aluminum triangles, with a smaller fifteen-bulb wall-and-ceiling version. These related designs use different materials and light treatments, moving from an enclosed glowing volume to an open geometric structure.
