Emeco On & On chairs and stools by Edward Barber and Jay Osgerby use recycled PET frames with different material choices for the seating surface.
Plastic, plywood and upholstered versions share the same underlying form. The chairs stack for storage, and backless stools come in counter and bar heights. All-plastic versions are suitable for outdoor use; wood and upholstered seats provide indoor alternatives. Replacement glides fit the collection’s chairs and stools.
Edward Barber and Jay Osgerby work together on furniture and product design. Their On and On collection for Emeco explores the use of recycled PET in a stacking café chair. The collaboration connects the chair's structure and arrangement for storage with material selection and future recycling.
